About Us
We're Jake and Katie, an engineer and science teacher living in Mirfield. We love electronics and teaching and look forward to welcoming you to our class.

JAKE
I've loved engineering and electronics ever since I was young. After leaving school, I moved to Derby as an apprentice building jet engines for Rolls-Royce. Since then, I've built car engines at Jaguar Land Rover and spent 5 years building software for companies in the US and the UK.
In my spare time I'm always building something new. I'm super excited to share some of the things I've learned with you as we build a project together.
KATIE
I was a science teacher for around 4 years. I love helping people learn and develop, especially encouraging exploration, problem solving and critical thinking.
I see myself as a lifelong learner and I've been to lots of classes and workshops, from woodworking to pottery. I love spending a day learning something new, just for fun. I'm really excited to bring a new type of class to Mirfield and build a community around our passion.
